Getting started

What is this website?

This is the patient portal of Dr. Alvi Clinic. On your phone you can see your clinic visits, your doctor's prescriptions, your lab test results and your ultrasound reports — all in one place, at any time.

Who can use it?

Anyone who has visited Dr. Alvi Clinic, the lab or the ultrasound, and gave a mobile number at the front desk. You sign in with that same mobile number.

How do I sign in for the first time?

The first time, you check your number with a 6-digit code and make your own password. This takes about 2 minutes.

  1. Open pt.medspk.com on your phone.
  2. Tap "First time here? Create your password".
  3. Type the mobile number you gave at the clinic, for example 0301-2345678.
  4. Tap "Send me a code on WhatsApp".
  5. Open WhatsApp. You will get a message with a 6-digit code.
  6. Go back to the website and type the 6 digits. Tap "Check code".
  7. Make a password (at least 6 letters or numbers). Type it two times.
  8. Tap "Save and sign in". You are in!

Write your password somewhere safe. Next time you only need your number and password — no code.

How do I sign in after the first time?

Use your mobile number and your password.

  1. Open pt.medspk.com.
  2. Type your mobile number.
  3. Type your password.
  4. Keep "Keep me signed in on this phone" ticked if it is your own phone.
  5. Tap "Sign in".

If "Keep me signed in" is ticked, you stay signed in for 30 days on that phone.

I did not get the WhatsApp code. What should I do?

Please check these things one by one:

  1. Check the number. It must be the same number you gave at the clinic.
  2. WhatsApp must be working on that number. The code comes on WhatsApp, not SMS.
  3. Check your internet, then wait 1 minute. Sometimes the message is a little late.
  4. Tap "Send again". You can ask for 3 codes in one hour.
  5. Still nothing? Ask the clinic front desk for a free "setup code" (see the next question), or call 0301-90-88888.
What is a front-desk code and how do I use it?

If WhatsApp does not work for you, the front desk can make a 6-digit setup code for your number. It works for 24 hours and costs nothing.

  1. At the clinic, ask the front desk: "Please give me a patient portal code."
  2. They will check your number and give you a 6-digit code.
  3. On pt.medspk.com, tap "First time here? Create your password".
  4. Tap "I have a code from the clinic desk".
  5. Type your mobile number and the code. Tap "Check code".
  6. Make your password and tap "Save and sign in".
I forgot my password. What do I do?

You can make a new password with a new code.

  1. On the sign-in page, tap "Forgot password?".
  2. Type your mobile number and tap "Send me a code on WhatsApp".
  3. Type the 6-digit code from WhatsApp.
  4. Make a new password.

After a new password is made, all other phones that were signed in are signed out, for your safety.

It says my account is locked.

After 5 wrong passwords, the account is locked for 15 minutes to keep it safe. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or use "Forgot password?" to make a new one.

What is a good password?

At least 6 letters or numbers. Do not use your phone number, 123456, or the same number again and again (like 111111). Something like a name and a year you can remember is fine, for example "Ayesha2019". Do not tell your password to anyone.

Family and phone numbers

My family uses one phone number. How does it work?

One mobile number = one password. If several family members were registered with the same number, after sign-in you will see "Who are you?". Tap the name whose records you want to see.

  1. Sign in with the family number and password.
  2. On "Who are you?", tap a name (for example your child).
  3. To see another family member, tap "Switch person" at the top.
Can my family see my records?

Anyone who knows the password of that number can see the records of everyone registered with that number. If you want your records to be private, give your own mobile number at the front desk on your next visit, and keep your password to yourself.

A family member (or my name) is missing, or the name is spelled wrong.

Records are found by the mobile number saved at the clinic. If a different number (or no number) was written at the front desk, those records will not show here. Please tell the front desk at your next visit or call 0301-90-88888. They will correct the number or the name, and the records will show automatically.

I changed my mobile number.

Tell the front desk your new number. After they update it, sign up again with the new number ("First time here? Create your password").

Your records

What can I see here?

Clinic visits (date, doctor, services), prescriptions (diagnosis, medicines with Urdu instructions, tests, advice, follow-up date), lab results (each test with its normal range) and ultrasound reports (findings and impression).

My newest report is not here yet. Why?

A report shows here only when it is finished and signed by the doctor, pathologist or sonologist. Lab tests can take a few hours to a few days. Ultrasound reports usually come the same day. If it is more than expected, call the lab at 0302-0785555 or the clinic at 0301-90-88888.

How do I use the History page?

History shows everything, newest first, grouped by month. Each colour is one type:

  1. Teal = clinic visit.
  2. Navy = prescription.
  3. Purple = lab test.
  4. Amber = ultrasound.
  5. Tap the buttons at the top (Visits, Prescriptions, Lab, Ultrasound) to see only one type.
  6. Tap "Open" or "See results" on any card to see the full details.
How do I read my lab results?

Each line shows the test, your result, the unit and the normal range.

  1. If your result is inside the normal range, it is shown normally.
  2. If it is above the range, it is marked red "▲ High".
  3. If it is below the range, it is marked red "▼ Low".
  4. At the top you can see how many results are outside the normal range.

A result a little outside the range is often not serious, and a normal result does not always mean everything is fine. Always show your results to your doctor. Do not start or stop any medicine on your own.

How do I read my ultrasound report?

"Findings" describes each organ the doctor checked. "Impression" is the doctor's short conclusion. Please discuss the report with the doctor who asked for it.

How do I read my prescription?

Each medicine has an English line and an Urdu line that tell you how much to take, when (morning / afternoon / night), before or after food, and for how many days. The follow-up date is when the doctor wants to see you again.

Take medicines exactly as written. Do not give your medicines to other people. If you get any reaction, stop and call the clinic.

What is "Next check-up" on the Home page?

It is the follow-up date your doctor wrote on your latest prescription. Please come on that day, or call 0301-90-88888 to change the time.

Download, print and share

How do I save a report as PDF?

Open the report, then:

  1. Tap "Print / Save PDF".
  2. Android: in the print window choose "Save as PDF" at the top, then tap the PDF button.
  3. iPhone: tap the Share icon, then "Save to Files".
  4. Computer: choose "Save as PDF" as the printer, then "Save".
What is "Official copy (letterhead)"?

On lab and ultrasound reports, this button opens the official report on the clinic letterhead — the same copy the QR code on your receipt opens. On prescriptions, "See the page as the doctor wrote it" shows the original page. You can print or save these too.

How do I send a report to another doctor?

Save the report as PDF (see above), then send the PDF on WhatsApp or email. Or print it and take it with you.

Safety and privacy

Is my information safe?

Yes. The site uses a secure (https) connection. Only the person who knows the password of your mobile number can see your records. The website can only read your records — nobody can change them from here. Every sign-in is recorded, and you can see your recent sign-ins in "My account".

I used someone else's phone. How do I sign out?

Go to "My account" and tap "Sign out on this phone". If you think someone else knows your password, tap "Sign out on all phones", then change your password.

Will the clinic ever ask for my password?

No. Clinic staff will never ask for your password. Never tell your password or your WhatsApp code to anyone, even if they say they are from the clinic.
